Connie P. Turner (1930- 2022)
A passionate artist whose work reflects a deep love
of beauty, spirit, and quiet grace. Welcome to this peaceful
space where her artwork will continue to live on.
Her sculpture, typically stunningly lifelike, ranges from tiny silver jewelry to life-sized bronze. It represents her patient design and meticulous focus – and often her subtle sense of humor. She was especially fond of fired clay pottery (including Raku ceramics) because it allowed her to join her friends in the Sun City Clay Club.
Her paintings, from luminous dreamlike surrealistic landscapes, watercolor portraits, impasto oils on wood or canvas, acrylics, mixed-media collage, Roku ink, stained glass windows (and much more) always expressed her love for the subject matter, and her reflective perceptions on the human condition. Enjoy.
